Our client, a fast-growing HR tech company, is hiring a Sales Manager to own the full sales motion for their hiring and people management platform.
The product solves a real problem for small and growing businesses: recruitment and HR tools that actually work without the enterprise price tag or the bloat. The team ships major updates every week. The market is hungry. The right seller will make scaling this business happen.
What you'll actually do
Own the end-to-end sales pipeline from prospecting through close. Find businesses that are struggling with cobbled-together hiring and people management tools, understand their actual pain, and show them a simpler alternative. Run product demos and discovery calls that connect what the software does directly to what keeps a small business owner awake at night. Hit monthly and quarterly revenue targets. Manage your own forecast, pipeline health, and activity. Report on what's working and what isn't. That's it. No CRM theatre, no process for process's sake. Just real sales work.
Who we're looking for
You've sold software or services to small and growing businesses before, ideally in the HR, recruitment, or people ops space. You move fast, close deals on short cycles (weeks, not months), and you don't need hand-holding or a detailed playbook to get going. You're comfortable with ambiguity early and get energised by the speed rather than unsettled by it.
You've personally felt the frustration of overcomplicated, expensive enterprise software and you genuinely want to build something simpler. You understand why a 15-person business needs different tools than a 1,500-person one, and you can talk to that without needing the product explained to you twice.
You own your numbers. You prospect. You follow up. You close. You don't wait for marketing to hand you leads or for someone else to manage your process.
