Our client is a growing organisation based in the heart of St Andrews, looking to bring a Junior Data Analyst on board to support their data operations and help turn raw information into real business insight. This is a solid first step for someone who's built the foundations and is ready to put them to work in a professional setting.

The Role

You'll be working closely with internal teams to gather, clean, and analyse data from multiple sources, producing reports and visualisations that inform decisions across the business. Day to day, that means:

• Collecting and maintaining data sets, ensuring accuracy and consistency across reporting pipelines

• Building and updating dashboards and reports using tools such as Excel, Power BI, or similar

• Identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies in data and summarising findings in plain language for non-technical stakeholders

• Supporting senior analysts with ad hoc analysis requests and longer-term projects

• Helping to document data processes and contribute to improving how the team manages and uses data

What We're Looking For

• A degree in a numerate or analytical discipline (statistics, mathematics, economics, computer science, or similar), or equivalent practical experience

• Comfortable working with data in Excel at an intermediate level or above - experience with SQL or a BI tool like Power BI or Tableau is a strong plus

• An eye for detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving, with the ability to check your own work and flag issues before they become problems

• Clear written and verbal communication - you don't need to dumb things down, but you do need to explain what the numbers mean to people who didn't build the model

• Experience with Python or R is not required but would make you stand out
