Account Executive - Customer Growth (Auckland)
Sales Development - Account Expansion (New Zealand)
Our client is a fast-growing EdTech platform trusted by thousands of organisations to manage learning and compliance at scale. They've built something real - enterprise customers like Microsoft, Delta, and BBC Studios rely on their content aggregator to solve genuine L&D problems. Now they need someone to grow revenue within that established customer base.
This is an account expansion role, which means you're not hunting cold. Your book is full of customers who already know the platform works. Your job is to spot where they need more - new user licenses, additional content bundles, deeper compliance coverage - and move fast when you see the opening.
What you'll actually do:
You'll own a portfolio of accounts and become the expert on what each one needs. That means regular conversations with L&D and HR leaders who control budget, understanding their evolving skill gaps and compliance headaches. When you spot an opportunity - a new department rolling out, a compliance gap, an acquisition they've just made - you'll scope the opportunity, make the case, and close it. You'll also introduce new product capabilities to clients actively using the platform, helping them see what they're missing.
You'll work in a fast-moving, remote-first environment across New Zealand's time zone. Async communication is the default; you'll be comfortable moving ahead without a daily check-in and flagging blockers clearly when you need them. You'll ship wins most weeks, not months.
What we're looking for:
You've sold into or partnered with L&D and HR buyers in a B2B SaaS context. You know how to navigate multi-stakeholder deals and you're comfortable with the commercial maths - you think in terms of ARR and net revenue retention, not just activity. You're energized by accounts where you already have credibility and can deepen the relationship.
You've worked remotely and across time zones before. You manage async communication well - you don't need a meeting to move forward, and you're clear about what you need when you do need it.
You're genuinely curious about learning and development as a field, not just as a product category. You ask good questions about customer outcomes, and you're not afraid to push back if a customer's ask doesn't match their real need.
We're drawn to people who can hold both genuine care for their customers and commercial sharpness at the same time. You'll challenge your accounts when it matters, but you'll do it with warmth.
Location: Remote, New Zealand-based.
