Sales Manager

Our client builds AI-powered HR software for small businesses - the kind of platform that lets a 10-person company run hiring, onboarding, and people management without needing a dedicated HR team. They're looking for a Sales Manager to own the full sales motion, end to end.

This is an individual contributor role. You prospect, qualify, pitch, and close. You own the revenue target. You don't manage people or report on team activity - you drive deals yourself.

What you'll do

Build and qualify a pipeline of SMB prospects through outbound research and prospecting. You'll identify which companies are actually ready to buy and which need nurturing, then move deals forward with conviction. You'll run the full cycle: discovery calls, demos, objection handling, negotiation, and close. No handoffs to a sales engineer or account exec - you own the relationship from first outbound to signed contract.

You'll work independently. Remote, async-first environment means you structure your own day, track your own progress, and deliver without hand-holding. You'll report numbers weekly and have clear visibility into what's working and what isn't.

The role comes with real flexibility on approach. If you've found that LinkedIn works better than cold email, or that targeting founders in Slack communities yields higher-quality conversations, you'll have room to run with that. The expectation is a clear monthly target and the autonomy to hit it your way.

Who we're looking for

You've sold B2B SaaS before, ideally to small business or mid-market. You know how to prospect persistently without being annoying, qualify ruthlessly, and close deals without an army of support.

You genuinely believe small businesses deserve better software. This isn't abstract - you've either built a company, worked at one, or grown up around entrepreneurship. You know the pain of wearing ten hats. That conviction matters. It'll come through on sales calls and it'll sustain you when the rejection rate is high.

You're self-directed. You don't need a CRM audit to tell you whether you're on pace. You don't wait for permission to try something. You communicate in writing clearly enough that a fully remote team can understand what you're doing and why.

You've got 2-4 years in sales. You don't need to be a 10-year veteran - you need to be reliable and hungry.

The details

Remote role based anywhere. USD 70,000-95,000, depending on experience and track record. Equity package included.
