Senior Account Executive
Senior Account Executive, Sales (Sydney)
Our client is a fast-growing EdTech platform consolidating enterprise training content into a single subscription platform. They work with 10,000+ customers across Fortune 500s to mid-market businesses, helping L&D leaders solve real problems around skill development, compliance, and people capability.
They're expanding in Australia and need a Senior Account Executive who can own a territory, find their own pipeline, and close deals without hand-holding.
What you'll do
You'll own a portfolio of enterprise and mid-market accounts across your region, running the full cycle from first conversation to contract close. That means prospecting into your patch, qualifying opportunities, running discovery calls, presenting solutions, handling objections, and negotiating terms. You're not waiting for leads to arrive - you're building pipeline, managing your own activity, and owning your number.
You'll sell to L&D leaders, HR buyers, and procurement teams in multi-stakeholder deals. Your job is to understand what they're trying to solve, show them how our client's platform delivers on those outcomes, and build relationships that stick beyond the sale.
Success here means shipping deals, but it also means thinking like a commercial operator. You connect what you're selling to revenue impact for the customer and for the business. You work async across time zones, so you manage yourself without someone checking in every day.
What you bring
You've sold enterprise or mid-market SaaS into L&D or HR teams, or you've worked in sales where you owned your own pipeline and closed deals independently. You understand what moves a buying committee and you can navigate the messy bits of enterprise sales without getting stuck.
You work well in a remote-first environment and you're comfortable with async communication. You've managed your own calendar, your own activity, and your own follow-up without someone supervising.
You're commercially sharp - you think about whether a deal is worth your time, you're resourceful when information is missing, and you can make calls without full certainty and own the outcome. You don't need a rigid process to produce results.
You care about learning as more than a product category. You're curious about how people develop and you connect authentically with customers who are trying to solve real problems in this space.
The role
Based in Sydney. Fully remote, async-first culture. Competitive base + uncapped commission. Learning and wellness budget. Equity participation for early movers.
If you've run a territory before, closed enterprise deals, and you want to build something in a high-pace, independent sales environment, we'd like to hear from you.
