Social Media Manager

📍 Sydney, Australia (Hybrid)💼 Full-time

Social Media Manager

Location: Sydney

About the role

Our client is a cloud-based communication platform that helps organisations reach the right people at the right time across SMS, email, WhatsApp and voice. They work with government agencies, emergency services, healthcare providers and other sectors where the stakes are real - where a message delivered well can protect a community or save time in a crisis.

They're looking for a Social Media Manager to own their presence across Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, X, LinkedIn and Instagram. This is a hands-on role: you'll plan campaigns, create and deploy content, track what lands and optimise based on actual performance. You'll work autonomously, moving fast without needing sign-off from five layers of approval.

What you'll do

Plan and execute social campaigns across six platforms, each with different audiences and rhythms. You'll brief creative and copy work, schedule posts, respond to comments and messages, and track metrics that actually matter - not just vanity numbers. You'll develop content themes that showcase what the platform does (both the no-code simplicity and the technical depth) and why organisations trust it with critical communications. You'll identify what resonates with different sectors - government teams operate differently from healthcare, which is different again from emergency services - and adapt your approach.

You'll also stay across industry conversations, spot opportunities for thought leadership, and build relationships with customers and partners who might become advocates.

Who you are

You know how to build an audience on social, not just post on schedule. You understand the difference between TikTok and LinkedIn, and why that matters. You've managed multiple channels at once and know when to go deep on one platform and when to adapt a single insight across several.

You're genuinely interested in what our client does - not just the product, but the sectors they serve and the real-world impact their platform has. If you've got experience in government, healthcare, emergency services or other regulated sectors (even on the periphery), that's a real advantage because you understand the constraints and the stakes.

You're comfortable working across timezones - the team is distributed across Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia. You don't need daily standups or detailed briefs to know what to do next.

The offer

Competitive salary, flexible work arrangements, and genuine flexibility around public holidays. You'll work alongside a team that values delivery over process, and culture that's relaxed about how you work but serious about the output.
