Chief Revenue Officer

📍 Sydney, Australia (Hybrid)💼 Full-time

Chief Revenue Officer

Location: Brisbane (remote-first, travel as needed)

Our client is a fast-growing EdTech platform with real momentum. They aggregate learning content from hundreds of providers into a single subscription, selling to L&D teams globally who are tired of fragmented, compliance-heavy training platforms. The product works. The market's there. Now they need a CRO who can architect and accelerate the commercial engine.

This is a greenfield revenue leadership role reporting directly to the executive team. You'll own sales, partnerships, renewals, expansion, and go-to-market strategy across APAC, EMEA, and North America. You'll build and scale commercial teams from the ground up, define playbooks that actually work across time zones, and tie everything back to real revenue outcomes.

What you'll do:

  • Set revenue targets and own the full funnel across new customer acquisition, account expansion, and renewals
  • Lead sales, account management, and revenue operations teams - hiring, developing people, and creating a commercial culture that moves at the right pace
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategy, with particular focus on APAC and key verticals where the business is seeing traction
  • Work directly with the executive team and product on positioning, pricing, and market fit as the business scales
  • Manage board reporting and forecasting with accuracy and clarity

What we're looking for:

You've sold or built in B2B SaaS, preferably HR tech or L&D platforms. You understand subscription models, can build pipeline and close deals, but you're equally comfortable designing systems and coaching others. You're commercially sharp but you also believe in the mission - that learning genuinely matters and shapes outcomes.

You work well in distributed teams without needing hand-holding. You make decisions with incomplete information and you don't wait for consensus. You've managed through ambiguity and you're energized by pace rather than stressed by it. You're equally comfortable with brutal honesty and long-term thinking.

APAC experience is valuable. Experience across multiple geographies and currencies is a real plus.

Red flags: If you need structure, a defined process, or a traditional office rhythm to perform, this won't land right.

The business is well-funded, the team is sharp, and the problem is real. If you've got the revenue experience and you genuinely believe in what learning can do, this is worth a conversation.
