Sales Manager, Enterprise Embedded Finance

Our client provides the financial infrastructure layer that powers platforms. They're not a payments gateway - they're the regulated backbone that lets marketplaces, neobanks, and payroll companies hold multi-currency wallets, manage seller payouts, and move money across borders. The product is technical, the sales cycles are long, and the deals are won or lost on whether you can translate infrastructure into real business value.

We're hiring a Sales Manager to own the enterprise pipeline.

This is not a volume role. You'll be working directly with CFOs, Heads of Product, and engineering leads at platforms that are building financial products on top of this infrastructure. Your job is to understand what each prospect actually needs - whether that's multi-entity structures for their marketplace, regulatory pathways for a new market, or fund flow architecture that their product team can build against - and then map our client's capabilities to that need. Most deals will involve deal-specific approvals, custom capability tiers, and close collaboration with the client's technical and compliance teams. You'll need to be equally credible in a room with non-technical finance leaders and in a technical architecture discussion.

What you're good at:

  • You've sold or supported infrastructure-level financial products before. You understand the difference between a payment gateway and embedded finance, between merchant-of-record and marketplace models, and why those distinctions matter legally and commercially. (Generic fintech sales experience won't cut it here.)

  • You can explain complex things simply. You've had to walk a CFO through multi-currency settlement timing, or a Head of Product through compliance implications of expanding to a new jurisdiction, without losing them.

  • You navigate deal-specific complexity. You're not uncomfortable with "we need to get approval from our compliance team for that feature" or "your use case triggers a different onboarding flow than our standard motion". You know how to move deals forward in those situations.

  • You're genuinely interested in how money actually moves. You can walk through a funds flow from payer to recipient and back out, spot the friction points, and explain why the infrastructure your client builds solves real problems.

You've likely worked at a payments or embedded finance company - Stripe, Adyen, or similar. Or you've been deep in fintech compliance or treasury infrastructure. You probably have experience selling across multiple regulatory jurisdictions and understand why APAC, EEA, and US deals are not interchangeable.

The role is based in a location of flexibility (check with your contact), and you'll be expected to travel occasionally to close and maintain enterprise relationships.
