Chrome extension

Add to Lovelio

Turn any Lovelio job into four targeted LinkedIn searches. See fit, history and off-limits warnings as you browse, then capture the right people straight into the job.

Add to Chrome

Opens the Chrome Web Store. One click, and Chrome keeps it up to date.

What it reads

Recruitment information from the page you are viewing.

When you click capture

It reads the current page and any text you selected. It uses those details to prefill the Lovelio record you asked for.

While you browse LinkedIn

It reads visible profiles and search results to show known people, off-limits warnings, job fit, and your active sourcing job.

Page details go only to your Lovelio account over HTTPS. Raw page text is discarded after processing unless you explicitly save a record or create a job draft. Lovelio never sells this data or uses it for advertising. Read the Privacy Statement.

Before you start

Be signed in to Lovelio in the same Chrome.

The extension rides that login. There are no keys, passwords or settings to enter, and it works out which region your account is in by itself. If you can see your dashboard, you are set.

Cannot use the Chrome Web Store?

Load it by hand instead.

Some managed work browsers block the store. If that is you, download version 1.1.7 as a zip (under 100KB) and follow these six steps. It is the same build as the store one, but Chrome will not update it for you.

  1. 1

Unzip it, somewhere it can stay

You will get a folder called "add-to-lovelio". Desktop or Documents is fine. If you delete or move the folder later, Chrome drops the extension.

  2. 2

    Open chrome://extensions

Type it into the address bar. Chrome will not let you click through to it from here, so copy it across.

  3. 3

    Turn on Developer mode

The toggle sits in the top right of that page.

  4. 4

    Click "Load unpacked"

Top left, next to the toggle you just switched on.

  5. 5

    Pick the "add-to-lovelio" folder

The folder itself, not a file inside it. "Add to Lovelio" appears in the list and you are done.

  6. 6

    Pin it (optional, but handy)

Click the jigsaw icon in Chrome's toolbar and pin "Add to Lovelio", so the heart sits next to your address bar.

Using it

Source

Open a job in Lovelio, click "Find candidates" and choose the LinkedIn tab. Lovelio builds four different search lanes from the full job brief: direct matches, adjacent talent, feeder companies and hidden gems. Run one and the extension opens its persistent sourcing side panel. Add clear matches from the LinkedIn results, or open a profile for the full fit score and reasons. You do not need to open the toolbar popup.

Capture

On any LinkedIn, X, Facebook or job ad page, click the heart icon. It reads the page and lets you add the person as a candidate or a client contact, or file a job ad as a lead. One click.

Recognise

Browse LinkedIn as normal. Anyone already in Lovelio gets a small badge, and you get a warning if they work at one of your clients. It only reads and annotates the page. It never clicks, messages, or does anything to your LinkedIn account.

Test the sourcing flow

From job brief to captured candidate.

  1. 1

    Open a live job

In Lovelio, open the job and choose its Candidates tab.

  2. 2

    Click "Find candidates"

Choose the LinkedIn tab and review the four search lanes. Start with the recommended one, or choose the angle you want to test.

  3. 3

    Run the search

Lovelio detects the installed extension and opens LinkedIn with its persistent sourcing side panel already visible.

  4. 4

    Work down the results

Lovelio marks people you know and client off-limits warnings. Search summaries stay read-only because they lack enough evidence.

  5. 5

    Assess a promising person

Open their profile. Lovelio uses the full visible profile and its job-fit engine, then shows Add to job in the open side panel.

  6. 6

    Check the results

Return to the LinkedIn tab of Find candidates to see everyone you captured for the job and their stage on it.

If something looks wrong

A newer build has come out
Installed from the store? Chrome updates it on its own within a day. Loaded the zip by hand? Download it from this page again, unzip it over the same folder replacing the files, then go to chrome://extensions and click the reload icon on the "Add to Lovelio" card. The version on that card tells you which build you are on. The current build is 1.1.7.
The popup says you are signed out
Use the sign-in button in the popup, or sign in at your region's address in another tab, then reopen the popup.
It is showing the wrong region
The extension finds the region holding your session on its own. The "Your region" dropdown at the bottom of the popup is there for the one case it cannot decide, which is being signed into two regions at once. Pick one and it remembers.
You still have a 0.4.x build installed
Remove it at chrome://extensions first. It points at Lovelio's old web address and no longer works. Then add it fresh from the Chrome Web Store.
