Plans and billing
Signed in? Ask Lovelio this question inside the app - it answers from this same page.
Lovelio is priced on the work you do, never on the number of people who log in. There is no per user fee on any plan. Every plan includes everything in Lovelio: jobs, candidates, clients, submissions, placements, interviews, AI search, AI phone screening, video interviewing with AI assistance, AI business development, the cross-agency split marketplace, and the REST API. The plans differ only in price and in the monthly allowance of AI credits. Billing lives in Settings > Billing and runs on Stripe.
The plans
There are four agency sizes: Solo, 2 to 5, 6 to 10 and 11 to 20 people. Each size comes as Standard or AI Ultra. The size is not a licence and nobody is counted; it is how Lovelio assigns the right number of AI credits. Choose Standard, or AI Ultra for heavier AI users. Prices below are USD a month; Settings > Billing and lovelio.ai/pricing show the same plans in the agency's own currency.
- Solo Standard: 135 USD, 80,000 AI credits. Solo AI Ultra: 175 USD, 130,000 credits.
- 2 to 5 Standard: 315 USD, 190,000 credits. 2 to 5 AI Ultra: 420 USD, 315,000 credits.
- 6 to 10 Standard: 805 USD, 480,000 credits. 6 to 10 AI Ultra: 1,050 USD, 780,000 credits.
- 11 to 20 Standard: 1,500 USD, 900,000 credits. 11 to 20 AI Ultra: 1,750 USD, 1,300,000 credits.
- 21 and up: Enterprise, talk to us. Credits are agreed per contract.
Nothing counts or limits users. An agency on the 2 to 5 plan with eight logins is not blocked, and adding a person never changes the bill by itself. The size an agency picks at sign-up only sets its AI credits, and it can move to any other plan at any time.
If you go over your AI usage limit two months in a row, we will bump you up to the next plan. That is the only time Lovelio changes a plan for you, and you are emailed the day it happens with the new monthly figure.
AI credits
One credit is one unit of AI work. Every plan includes a monthly allowance, and Settings > Billing shows how much of it has been used and when it resets, with five bars underneath showing where the agency's AI work went. The bars and the credits come from the same ledger; nothing is stored separately. The old Settings > Usage page folded into Billing on 2026-09-15.
What each action costs, in credits:
- Applicant fully processed (CV read, profile, job fit assessment, next step, match against open jobs): 45.
- Applicant stopped at a must-have (CV read and profile only, reason shown): 15.
- Candidate added by import or the Chrome extension (CV read and profile): 15.
- Database search: 10.
- Conversational search or Ask Lovelio turn: 50.
- Job ad written or rewritten: 50.
- Small draft or read (an email, a rejection, screening questions, a float note, a CV format, a BD read): 15.
- Dictation: 15 a minute of speech.
- AI phone screen (one call, about ten minutes, transcript and answers): 1,500.
A charge is per candidate and job, once. A repeat applicant to a second job pays the assessment, never the CV read again. Migrations (Migration Magic, cloud imports) are outside credits and priced in the migration fee. Job board postings are outside credits; the board bills them. Lovelio's own platform work never charges an agency.
What happens at the limit
- Nothing stops. Going over the allowance never pauses the AI, never refuses work and never sends a warning email. Every applicant is read and filed, every search, assessment, draft and Ask Lovelio turn runs.
- Settings > Billing shows the credits used this month and the plan's allowance in plain figures. Nobody else in the agency sees a number.
- If you go over your AI usage limit two months in a row, we will bump you up to the next plan. The bump is one plan up: Standard to AI Ultra on the same size, then the next size. It applies through Stripe, prorated, and the account owner gets one email that day naming the new plan and its monthly price. Past the 11 to 20 AI Ultra plan the next step is an Enterprise conversation.
- On the 1st of the billing month the allowance resets. There is no rollover and there are no top-ups.
- The only thing that pauses the AI is a subscription that has lapsed: a payment that did not go through, or a subscription that has ended. Even then new applicants are still read and filed, and each paused surface says what to do: update the card, or choose a plan, in Settings > Billing. Nothing is ever dropped.
Currencies
The price on lovelio.ai/pricing is the same price as Settings > Billing and the same price Stripe charges: the website reads the visitor's country the same way. The currency is set automatically from the company's country. Australia and New Zealand see AUD (New Zealand deliberately gets AUD, not NZD), the UK sees GBP, the rest of Europe (including non-euro countries like Switzerland and Norway) sees EUR, and the US, Canada and everywhere else see USD. The non-USD prices are fixed, never live exchange rates. The public pricing page has a GBP, EUR, AUD and USD switcher that opens on the visitor's own currency; inside the product the currency follows the company's country and cannot be switched. Checkout bills in that same currency, so the price shown on screen is the price billed.
The free trial
Signing up puts a card on before anything else. The first screen is the same plan picker as lovelio.ai/pricing: pick the agency's size, choose Standard or AI Ultra, and it opens Stripe's own payment page. Lovelio never sees the card number. If the payment page does not open, the signup is still saved. Retry from the same screen; there is no need to create another account.
The first 14 days are free. Everything is included and nothing is held back, because a crippled trial is not a trial. On day 11 the account owner is emailed the date, the amount and where the cancel button is, so the first charge is never a surprise. On day 14 the card is charged and the plan renews monthly. Cancelling before day 14 costs nothing. There are no refunds after a charge.
To look at Lovelio without a card, use the walk-in demo: a full agency with real jobs, candidates and history already in it. An empty ATS is the worst possible demonstration of an ATS.
Trials are per customer, not per sign-up: an agency that cancels and comes back does not get another 14 free days. Comped accounts (see below) never see the card screen at all.
One separate thing that expires: trial API keys for developers (the ones starting sk_trial_) stop working after 7 days, with the error "Your 7-day trial has ended". That is an API key limit only, not the product trial.
A cancelled plan
A cancelled plan has no access. Signing in lands on the payment page and nothing else: no candidates, no jobs, no export. One click on that page puts the plan back on and everything is exactly where it was left, because cancelling removes the subscription and never the data. A returning customer pays from that day, with no second 14 free days.
Nothing in Lovelio is gated behind a higher plan. Every plan includes every feature; a cancelled plan is the only thing that closes the door.
An agency that has left and wants its records out should email support. There is no self-service export from a cancelled account.
Everyone stops, not just the people. API keys, MCP connections, connected apps and the Chrome extension all refuse a cancelled account, and they say why: an agent is told the agency has no active plan and that an admin turns it back on by signing in at lovelio.ai. There is no reconnect or retry that clears it, on purpose, so an AI agent cannot sit in a loop over something only a human with a card can fix. The one door left open is the payment page itself.
A single failed payment does NOT do this: a past-due plan keeps everything while the payment is sorted out.
Comped accounts
A comped account has been given Lovelio for free: a partner deal, a friend of the house, or an account Lovelio carries for a while. Its billing page says "Your account is comped", it is not billed, and its AI credits are not limited.
- Comping is a deliberate decision that only Lovelio can make or unmake. There is nothing in the product that turns it on, and no number to edit.
- A comped account can still choose a plan whenever it wants to. From that point it is billed and metered on that plan like everyone else.
Lovelio has never billed a customer per user. The plans above are the only plans there are.
Internal testing accounts
Lovelio super-admins can open Admin, click the account row in its list, and use Account limits. Choose Testing account, Brett and Darren account, or QA account, then Save changes. Each gives unlimited AI credits, AI spending, CV imports and meeting transcription, even when a paid plan is present. Usage remains visible, and the override does not change Stripe billing. Existing account access, email safety and explicit AI stop switches still apply. Choose Normal limits and Save changes to restore allowances. Enabling the override also queues assessments a lapsed subscription had paused.
Managing the plan
- Settings > Billing is admin-only. It shows this month's credits, five bars showing where the AI went, and the plan you are on with its price, credits and renewal date. Underneath is the same plan picker as the website with your plan marked: pick a size, click Standard or AI Ultra, read the sentence saying when it takes effect, then Move to that plan.
- Choosing a first plan goes through Stripe Checkout. A move to a dearer plan applies now, with the extra cost based on the time left in the billing period. A move to a cheaper plan applies at renewal, and the page shows the pending change until then; clicking Keep your current plan calls it off.
- After returning from Stripe, the page confirms the subscription with Stripe directly, so the plan updates even if a webhook is delayed.
- "Invoices and payment method" opens the Stripe customer portal for updating the payment method, viewing invoices, and cancelling. Cancelling is done through the portal, not inside Lovelio.
- A failed payment shows a red "Payment failed" banner on the billing page with an "Update payment method" button that opens the portal.
Other plan-linked limits
- SSO needs an active paid subscription. Trialing, past-due, and cancelled companies cannot set up SSO connections.
- AI meeting transcription (the meeting notetaker) is metered monthly: 300 minutes (5 hours) per month on trial, past-due, or cancelled plans; 6,000 minutes (100 hours) per month on an active paid plan. When a meeting would push the company over the cap, the notetaker skips it and emails an admin.
Common questions
- "Do I need a higher plan for AI phone screening / the BD desk / the marketplace?" No. Every plan includes everything. A higher plan only means more AI credits a month. If a feature refuses with a plan message, the subscription has been cancelled: an admin signs in at lovelio.ai and puts the card back on the payment page that greets them.
- "Do more users cost more?" No. There is no per user fee and nobody is counted. Add every recruiter, every admin and every AI agent. The agency size only sets the AI credits.
- "We are a team of 4 on the 2 to 5 plan and just hired two more. Do we have to change plan?" No. Nobody is counted. Change plan only if you want more AI credits.
- "What is the difference between Standard and AI Ultra?" Only the AI credits. AI Ultra is for agencies that lean on the AI all day; everything else is identical.
- "We connect AI agents over MCP. How are they charged?" The same way people are: by the work they do. AI agents use AI credits from your plan. Move to AI Ultra or the next size if you need more credits.
- "We keep going over the credit allowance." Nothing stops when you do. Move to AI Ultra, or the next size, in Settings > Billing if you want the bigger allowance now. If you go over your AI usage limit two months in a row, we will bump you up to the next plan.
- "Why did my bill change mid-month?" The plan moved to a dearer one, prorated for the rest of the month.
- "Do more jobs or candidates cost more?" No. There are no quotas on jobs or candidates. AI work uses credits from the monthly allowance; that is the only thing that varies.
- "Can I buy extra credits?" Not in this version. The allowance resets on the 1st, and AI Ultra or the next size raises it.
- "How do I cancel?" Settings > Billing > "Invoices and payment method" opens the Stripe portal; cancel there.
- "Can I pay in my own currency?" The currency comes from the company's country automatically and cannot be switched by hand.
