Careers pages, jobs widget and job distribution

Signed in? Ask Lovelio this question inside the app - it answers from this same page.

Every agency gets a hosted public careers page on Lovelio, an embeddable jobs widget for its own website, free job aggregator feeds, and optional distribution rules that post jobs to connected job boards. Applications from all of these are added to the same pipeline automatically.

The hosted careers page

  • The page lives at lovelio.ai/careers/your-slug. The slug is generated from the agency name at signup (with a number added if the name is taken) and can be changed later from the SEO tab of the builder. Changing it breaks old links immediately - there are no redirects, and the edit screen warns about this.
  • The builder is in Settings under Company, called "Careers Page" (previously named "Job Board"). The old Careers link on the dashboard redirects there. It is not the same as the "Job Boards" section of Settings, which is where jobs go OUT to Indeed, SEEK and the rest.
  • The builder has six tabs: Template, Branding, Colors, Features, SEO and CSS. There are 14 page templates: Void, Plasma, Manifesto, Neon, Blueprint, Studio, Dispatch, Kinetic, Editorial, Signal, Mosaic, Marquee, Orbit and Stack. Void, a clean editorial layout, is the default look for a new agency.
  • Features tab toggles: Show Client Names, Show Salary, Show Location, Search Bar, Filter Options, and social profile links (LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Facebook, Instagram).
  • The page is off until you press "Publish". A "Live" badge shows when it is up, and "Unpublish" takes it down instantly. Saved changes to the design go live on the published page.
  • Any job ad with status Active appears on the careers page automatically, as long as its linked job is also Active. Setting an ad Active is the only step - there is no separate "add to careers page" action. If the job is closed, filled, put on hold or deleted, its ads drop off automatically.
  • Client confidentiality is built in. Ad copy never names the client, and the client name only appears on the public job page and in page titles if "Show Client Names" is switched on (it is off by default). Share cards and page titles never present the agency as the employer - the agency appears as "via [agency name]", framed as recruiting on behalf of a client.
  • Published talent pools also get a public page under the careers URL with an "Ask to join" form that sends a join request to the agency, so candidates can raise their hand without applying to a specific role.
  • Demo and walk-in trial accounts have no public careers page (the URL shows not found) and cannot save careers page changes.

The embeddable jobs widget

  • A two-line HTML snippet puts the live job list on any website: a div tagged with the agency's slug plus one script tag. It works in plain HTML, React, Vue, Webflow, WordPress, Framer, Squarespace and Lovable.
  • A full developer guide, with the snippet pre-filled for the agency, opens from the "Jobs Widget" button in the Careers Page builder. It is written to be handed straight to a web developer.
  • Options set via attributes on the div: grid or list layout, department filter buttons (on by default), a keyword search bar (off by default), a limit on how many roles show (with a "View all" button for the rest), accent colour, background, text colour, card background, corner radius, card style and theme presets including dark.
  • Everything is stylable with plain CSS. The widget shows no Lovelio footer at all - nothing a candidate sees names us, on the widget or on a careers page. The widget fires a browser event called mh:apply-success on successful application, with the job id, job title and applicant email, so the site can hook in analytics.
  • The widget includes a built-in application form. No backend work is needed on the agency's website.
  • Salary reaches the widget, the careers page and a shared ad link only when that ad's "Publish salary" switch is on (in the ad's details). It is off by default, so a private salary never leaves Lovelio; the careers page's own "show salary" setting only decides whether published salaries are displayed.

Where applications go

  • The careers page and the widget use the same apply flow. Name and email are required. Optional: phone, LinkedIn, notice period, and a cover letter either typed (50 to 2000 characters) or uploaded as a file up to 5 MB.
  • CV upload accepts PDF and Word up to 10 MB. The CV is read on upload and pre-fills name, email, phone and LinkedIn. Background parsing never overwrites a field the candidate has already edited. A file that cannot be read (a scanned or password-protected PDF, or a file that looks like a CV but holds no text) never shows "Resume parsed": the form says "We could not read that file. Try a Word document or another PDF, or type your details below", the CV stays attached, and the candidate can type their details and still apply. On the consultant's side that application carries a "CV not read" flag until a readable copy is uploaded. Uploading a different CV clears the contact fields and re-parses from scratch, so one person's details never bleed into another's application.
  • On submit, Lovelio matches the candidate by email within the agency. An existing candidate record is updated; otherwise a new one is created. Applying twice to the same ad does not create a duplicate - the candidate just sees a confirmation.
  • The new application is added to the job in the Funnel. Notice period and cover letter are saved as notes on the application. The source is recorded, so applications arriving from a job board link, a social share or a referral link are labelled with where they came from.
  • Automatically after submit: the team gets an in-app notification, the candidate gets an acknowledgement email (a tracked send, so a reply from the candidate joins the same conversation on their application), any "application received" automations fire, and the AI resume parse and assessment run in the background. There is no moderation queue - applications go straight into the pipeline. The first ten applicants on a job are read straight away; later applicants on the same job appear in the Funnel immediately (name, contact details, CV file) marked "Reading CV" and their profile and assessment fill in within the hour, because their CV is read in the half-price batch lane.
  • If the ad or its job has closed by the time someone submits, they see "This position is no longer accepting applications".
  • Bots are kept out without a puzzle. The form carries a hidden field a person never sees and a form-filler fills, and an invisible Cloudflare Turnstile check runs on submit and on CV read once the agency's Lovelio has Turnstile keys set. A refused attempt reads "We could not confirm this came from a person. Please refresh the page and try again". Each agency also has a daily budget of CV reads through the public form; past it the form says "CV reading is paused for today for this agency" and the candidate can still type their details and apply. Blocked attempts show on Settings > Usage as "Blocked application attempts" and "Blocked CV read attempts".

Social posts for a job

  • The job's Job ads tab has a "Social posts" tab. The AI writes a LinkedIn caption, a Twitter/X post and a ready-to-paste message for Slack, Teams or email, in the agency's brand voice. This needs Writing Style set up in Settings first; without it the generate button returns an error saying so.
  • Posts can be edited, saved and regenerated. "Share on LinkedIn" copies the caption to the clipboard and opens LinkedIn's share window, because LinkedIn does not accept pre-filled text - the user pastes it in. The shared link shows the agency-branded preview card.
  • Social copy follows the confidentiality rule: the post says the agency is recruiting on behalf of a client, never that the agency is hiring, and the client is never named.

Distribution to job boards

  • Settings > Integrations has a "Job Boards" tab where boards are set up: connect a board provider, choose which of its boards to enable, then set rules so new jobs post automatically. A rule is a name, an optional filter (country, team, job type) and one or more target boards.
  • The boards on offer are Reed.co.uk, LinkedIn Jobs, CV-Library, Totaljobs, Adzuna and CareerOne.com.au, alongside SEEK and the agency's niche boards. Each is connected on its own with its own key, and each has its own on/off switch and optional monthly posting limit.
  • Click a rule to change it: same panel that created it, prefilled, with "Save changes". The country and job type are pickers, not free text, so a rule cannot be written against a value no job carries. A rule can also be switched off (it stays, and stops posting) or deleted.
  • Rules can also be created by asking the AI, for example "post all UK property jobs to these two boards". The rule is always shown for confirmation before it is created, and it becomes a visible, editable rule like any other.
  • When a job publishes, active rules are checked against the job's facts and every board they select is posted to automatically, whatever that board costs. The rules are the rules: they override everything else, so "all Australian ads go to SEEK" needs no clicks after you write it. A board that is on with no rule gets every job; add a rule to narrow it. The board row says so in those words.
  • When a board's most recent post failed, its row on the Job Boards page says why in one line. "Your key was refused. Reconnect this board." means the board rejected the connection key: reconnect the provider. The line clears on its own the next time a post to that board lands.
  • Nothing waits for a confirmation any more. What bounds the spend is the board's monthly post limit, which is a number you set: once the month's posts are used, that board is refused everywhere until the month rolls over or an admin raises the limit. Switch a board off, or scope it with a rule, to stop it receiving jobs at all.
  • A board row only mentions cost where Lovelio can stand behind it. Boards billed on your own contract with them - SEEK, Reed.co.uk, CV-Library, Totaljobs and CareerOne.com.au - say nothing about price, because what they cost is between you and them. That is silence about the price, not a reason to hold the board back.
  • Jobs marked confidential (no syndication) never distribute to boards, regardless of rules.
  • The job's "where it's live" rollup covers the careers page, Indeed, social channels and each board, treating a channel as live if any of the job's ads is live there.

How each board lists the ad (classifications)

  • Every board makes the poster choose from its own lists before an ad can go up: a classification, a work type, a work arrangement, and how pay is quoted. Those choices decide who ever sees the ad, because jobseekers browse and filter by them.
  • Lovelio fills them in. It reads the whole ad - title, ad copy, employment type, location and salary - and picks the closest value from that board's own published list. Nothing is invented: a value the board does not publish can never be sent.
  • Where a board's classification has two levels, the second one is what matters. "Trades & Services" on its own is a heading that reaches nobody; "Trades & Services, then Fitters, Turners & Machinists" is the list a fitter actually browses. Lovelio always goes to the second level.
  • Where the job already answers a question, it is taken rather than guessed. A full-time job is listed as full time, a hybrid role as hybrid, an hourly rate as hourly.
  • This happens when the ad is published, not when you go looking. By the time you open the ad the answer is already there.
  • See them on the job's Job ads tab, which opens on "Where it's live". Every place the ad is out is one row of one list: each job board, then the careers page and the social channels. A row reads left to right - the place, how it lists the ad, whether it is live, and the actions that state allows (Edit and Expire on a live board, Try again on a refused one, Mark live on a social channel).
  • Edit opens that board's values in the row. The classification gets a search box over the board's real list, and every value carries the line saying why it was chosen and what came second. Change one and it says "Set by you"; Lovelio never overwrites it, including when the ad is rewritten. If the ad is already live on that board, saving sends the change to the board straight away.
  • If the ad is rewritten into a materially different role, the values Lovelio chose are worked out again automatically. Values you set are left alone.
  • The values on that page are exactly what the board is sent. There is no second answer worked out at the moment of posting.

Job aggregators (Indeed and Jora)

  • Some boards do not receive a posting from us: they collect one. Lovelio hosts an XML feed per board and the aggregator crawls it on its own schedule, usually somewhere between every 2 and 24 hours. There is no key to paste and nothing to connect - the board is a switch on the Job Boards page in Settings.
  • Indeed is switched on for every agency, as it always has been. Jora is available to Australian and New Zealand agencies and is off until you switch it on.
  • What is in the feed is exactly what distribution put there, so posting rules, confidential jobs and take-downs all behave the same way they do for a board we post to. Close an ad and it drops out of the feed at the next crawl, which is how these boards expect a role to be withdrawn.
  • Because the board collects rather than receives, a job shows as queued until the crawl actually happens, then turns live. Nothing is wrong in between; the board simply has not been round yet.
  • Applications still come back to Lovelio: the aggregator sends the jobseeker to the Lovelio ad page, and the application is attributed to the exact board it came from.

Common questions

  • Why is my job not on the careers page? Check two things: the careers page is published (Settings, Company, Careers Page), and both the job ad and its job have status Active.
  • Can candidates apply from our own website? Yes - embed the jobs widget, which includes the application form, or link out to the hosted careers page.
  • Where do widget applications go? Same place as careers page applications: the job's pipeline, Maybe stage, with the candidate created or updated automatically.
  • Can I change my careers URL? Yes, from the SEO tab, but old links break with no redirect.
  • Does posting to Indeed cost anything or need setup? Neither. It is free and on by default, so every Active ad joins Lovelio's Indeed feed. When a role actually appears on Indeed depends on Indeed's own processing of the feed. You can switch it off per agency in Settings, under Job Boards.
  • How do I get our jobs onto Jora? Switch Jora on in Settings, under Job Boards. It is free, it covers Australia and New Zealand, and your live ads join the feed from the next crawl. Nothing else to set up.
  • How do I tell where an applicant came from? Every application records its source, down to the exact board - "Job board · Jora" or "Job board · Indeed". If another site copied the ad from your careers page rather than taking a feed, the application records the site that referred them, for example "Careers page · via jooble.org".
